As a small-press author, all promotions are self- promotions. Given that fact I have had to be nearly as creative in my marketing as I have in my writing. Generally I hold them to coincide with the launch of a new book, but as I get settled into my routine, I'm likely to branch out to the periodic spontaneous promotion.
